ABOUT

Climate Impact Advisors provides strategic advisory, development, and marketing and communications services to environmental impact lenders (e.g., green banks and PACE lenders), government, foundations and non-profits. Our mission is to accelerate the green financing markets and fight climate change.

The founder and principal, Jessica Luk-Li brings a breadth of experience in sustainability across the green bank, non-profit, private, and public sectors. Most recently, Jessica was the Director of Development at the New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC) – the first local green bank in the US. As a founding member of NYCEEC for over ten years since its launch in 2011, Jessica offers a unique perspective and institutional knowledge about green banks from pre-conception to launch and operations.

At NYCEEC, Jessica led green bank advisory engagements, including securing competitive grants to advise the DC Department of Energy and Environment, DC Green Bank, and New Jersey Economic Development Authority. Jessica also led NYCEEC's development raising millions of philanthropic grants and marketing and communications, creating NYCEEC's case studies and impact narrative.

Jessica also previously worked at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Long-term Planning and Sustainability under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. She led the financial analysis for the proposed building retrofits mandate in the NYC Greener, Greater Buildings Plan (GGBP), a groundbreaking set of green buildings policies. In the GGBP, she focused on developing the green jobs policy and green financing policy, which would later be the policy that launched NYCEEC.

Jessica holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MA in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated with a BA in Economics and in History of Art with Distinction from Yale University.
